Cellcom today (Tuesday) received the license to operate the fifth generation (5G) in Israel.

In recent months, Cellcom has upgraded the network's core and deployed the 3.5 GHz frequency antennas used for 5th generation technology, with an investment of tens of millions of shekels.

Therefore, customers with smartphones that support 5th generation will be able to surf on the new network in the coverage areas in dozens of localities throughout Israel.

In addition, Cellcom has also launched packages that include a connection to the new network.

A surfing package with a capacity of 500 GB as well as 5000 minutes of calls and messages, and 500 minutes of calls from Israel to a variety of destinations abroad, at a monthly price of NIS 49.90. The same package that also includes the Cellcom TV service on mobile, will be offered at NIS 59.90 per month.
