Today, exactly one year after Apple first announced the AirPods Pro, the company announces that it will replace headphones that have been found to have technical malfunctions.
Over the past year many users have complained that noise cancellation, perhaps their most important feature, has been significantly compromised.
Also, after reporting bass loss, beeps, and that noise filtering can sometimes not be turned on.
In May, Apple released an update version (firmware) for the headphones, in order to try to address some of the problems that many customers complained about, as the concern was that the problems started after the 2C54 firmware that was released in December earlier.
The company also emphasizes that a small percentage of the Airpods may be affected, and that the faulty headphones were manufactured before October 2020.
