With over 15,000 units sold in October and 90,000 in the first ten months, the Fiat Panda is still the undisputed queen of the Italian market.

A market that slows down again after the positive post-lockdown months, also thanks to the incentive campaign, and which records - and has not happened for a long time - a decline in sales of crossover-suvs, bodywork that has recorded a trend in continuous rise.

As regards fuel supplies, on the other hand, compared to the same month last year, there is a decrease in sales of petrol cars, as well as for diesel, while from hybrid to electric passing through LPG there is a sustained growth, a symptom that customers are much more predisposed to eco-sustainable and clean mobility.

In particular - according to the data published by Unrae, relating to the October market - Fiat Panda is confirmed in first place in the ranking of best-sellers in Italy, with as many as 9 thousand hybrid electric units sold (HEV).

The Lancia Ypsilon follows in the ranking (4,719 units), which is also second in the first ten months.

Third, in October, and first among foreigners, the new Citroen C3 with 4,714 units, followed by Toyota Yaris (4,340), Renault Captur (3,757).

The top ten ends with three FCA cars (Fiat 500, 500 X and Jeep Renegade), followed by Renault Clio and Opel Corsa, respectively in ninth and tenth place with 3,429 and 3,298 units.

As for bodywork, sedan cars increased (from 45.6% in October 2019 to 48.4% last month), while crossovers decreased with a share of 35.2% compared to 35.8% in 2019 As far as fueling is concerned, in October there was a decline in petrol and diesel cars, those with thermal engines, whose share respectively stood at 31.5% and 30.8%.

Double-digit growth for electric hybrids (HEVs) which from 7.4% in October 2019 rose to 24.7% last month.

Plug-ins were also up: 3,653 units sold in October (2.3%) compared to 849 last year (0.5%).

LPG is also growing, the share of which in October goes from 6.8% (in 2019) to 7.3% with over 11,500 units sold.

A lively market for full electric vehicles (BEVs) which, with 2,889 units sold, reached a share of 1.8%: the hydrogen market, on the other hand, was stuck.

No cars sold in October and only two in ten months (two Toyota Mirai).
