Covid-19: nearly 400 deaths and more than 40,000 new cases in 24 hours in France

38,674 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic and more than 4,000 people are now hospitalized in intensive care.


Health authorities announced this Wednesday, November 4 that 40,558 people had tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

The death toll now stands at 38,674, with 394 people having died in hospital since yesterday.

In the past 24 hours, hospitals have recorded 3,681 admissions for Covid-19 contamination.

540 patients were transferred to intensive care units.

In total, 27,534 patients are hospitalized, including 4,089 in intensive care.

3,042 clusters are also being investigated in the country according to Santé Publique France.
