The service is available to everyone through the developer, Otter.ai, a company that specializes in Speech-to-Text.
At this time the service only supports English subtitles, but the developer claims that it is able to distinguish between different pronunciations of spoken English, including decoding of British English, English with a South American accent, English with a Chinese, Scottish accent and a variety of European accents.
At the end of the call you can even print or save a full transcript of the call for documentation.
Otter.ai's smart algorithm makes it possible to distinguish between the voices of the speakers and include their names in the written transcript and according to the company, it also continues to learn new words all the time in favor of improving accuracy.
From now on: Live subtitles in Zoom (screenshot)
The 'live' subtitle service is available to all Otter.ai customers who are part of the "business" track equipped with Zoom Pro.
This means that users of the free subscription will not be able to enjoy the new update, but this is definitely in line that may help high-tech companies and even educational institutions in Israel and around the world.
