"The Singer in the Mask" - Promo Episode Exposing the Pickle (Rainbow 12)

This week I want to start the blog with an open letter to the stork (note, spoiler for yesterday's episode): Lucy Aharish, I apologize.

It's not your great performance of "Tel Aviv at Night" that caused you to be expelled from the show, not even the eye they probably did to you when they thought you were Corinne Gideon, no, I'm to blame.

Nothing to do, I was born with a damn curse whose fault every favorite of mine on a reality show is destined to return home empty-handed.

Professional assessment?

Yes of course.

The big prize?

It is not.

This is a long and painful list of disappointments, one that also cost me quite a bit of money in the days of the infamous text messages.

In my opinion, she started with the scorching (but expected retrospective) loss of Adi Cohen in the "Star Born 2" final (third place), and here she continues with the stork, almost twenty years later.

As a little girl, Lucy, the stork costume looked very uncomfortable anyway and go explain to Tzachi why you came home with feathers without working in a coop, or as Eden Ben Zaken says: "Trust me, you will only feel up. Tonight you will forget about the troubles ) ".

And seriously, there seem to be only five people in Israel who did not know that Aharish was the one hiding under the stork costume, all of them of course sitting on the program panel.

In a time of uncertainty, times when our leaders convene dramatic press conferences on a daily basis - the consistency with which Tzadi, Shahar, Ofira and Static and Ben El manage to miss the identity of the participants has become a small and safe island of stability.

True, in the case of the stork, Ben El guessed that it was Lucy, but as can be learned from his wardrobe, his judgment is sometimes lacking and he let Static take the gamble (the two bet on Noa Yaron Dayan).

Artistic only, the stork's dismissal before the final is of course a miss as she gave some of the season's most beautiful performances: "A Song Without a Name", "Absurd" and "I Want to Break Free", all were great and proved that if you decide to give up the media, There is real potential for a singing career (at least in the recording studio).

A singing career awaits her.

Five costumed celebrities remained in the competition: the dragonfly, the rooster, the dragon, the falafel and the goat.

You probably, just like me, already know who it is, and the truth?

We're probably all right.

In terms of talent, there is almost no bad performance in the show - at least since Gadi Sukenik was ousted - nor is there really jaw-dropping performance, which means that by the end you can watch the show on "autopilot" mode: laugh a little at Ofira's overconfidence, fall in love with my side neuroticism, grin On Static and Ben El's costumes and ignoring Shahar's jokes.

Occasionally we will be thrown some hint that will make us think "Wait, but maybe it's not him / her at all?"

Which of course will quickly turn out to be a deliberate deception.

In the fourth season of the American version, which is broadcast these days (also in Israel on yes), the contestants are divided into several teams that run a kind of short internal league, it starts with head-to-head meetings and then semi-finals and finals.

Which in practice means that viewers do not have to accompany the costumes throughout an entire season, they have several episodes with each character and less time to get bored.

In addition, the production introduced the "first impression guess" into the program: in the first episode in which each contestant appears, the panel of judges is asked to point out the mysterious identity under the mask, the note is kept in a "safe" and only revealed by dismissal.

That way viewers can know which judge is blessed with really sharp instincts and who just manages to get clues from the production assistants.

The Israeli version should introduce such innovations for next season, otherwise again the identity of the contestants will be revealed early in the season and the tension will drop.

The celeb who was fired, the GSS who was summoned: the producer of "The Singer in a Mask" reveals everything

That's it, everyone knows who's hiding here.

We are already seeing the end and if we have come this far it is important to note that there were also points of light in this week’s episodes.

At the head of them is Ilanit Levy - the most successful guest judge who came to the show to date.

First, whoever still thought she was the goat, got the proof that she was not.

Second, Levy, who is a bit of a model, a bit of a presenter, a bit of an actress, a bit of a singer and a lot of celeb, is just the right type of type for the cast of "The Singer": she has knowledge of gossip worlds and is likable to almost all ages.

In fact, Levy is also responsible for the most entertaining quote of the season.

While "confronting" the dragonfly and revealing to her that she was Rinat Gabay, she quoted from the version of "Cinderella" in which the two appeared together: "Here is Eva Lanzelbluff and this is you, sweetheart!".

Admittedly I haven't read "Cinderella" in the last few years but it's the kind of quotes that make you totally crave.

Not only did Levy identify Rinat Gabay as a dragonfly, all the judges (except my side) were finally able to connect the clues to the familiar voice and identified her as Gabay.

Her performance this week, for the pop hit "Don't Start Now", was one of her least good this season and it seems that if there is no real surprise she is probably going to reach the final but lose to Rooster.

The same man performed Static and Ben El's "Everything for the Better" this week and caused quite a few damp eyes on the panel.

I admit that thanks to the folk version of the song, I found it to be a pretty successful song.

Not only the stork, but also the goat was exposed this week in a sense, after performing Nasreen's "Learning to Walk".

Who did not claim she was?

Neta Alhamister, Shir Elmaleh, Moran Eisenstein.

But this week we received proof that she is of course the actress Galit Giat.

The late identification of the French side, who directed it in a total of two thousand plays, is a hallmark of one of the clearer identities of the season.

Hayosh Itzik.

Is there a chance for more unexpected revelations this season?

Great doubt.

I bet with confidence that the dragon that performed another number campy this week (Lady Gaga's Bad Romance) is Itzik Cohen.

Of course I have no internal knowledge, just normal ears and too many hours in front of episodes of "Fauda".

The falafel, on the other hand, who all the clues teach that he is an athlete, was from the beginning the character I was least sure about, but I will stick with my previous bet (Uri Sasson).

By the way, do not be surprised if under the static costume hides Ben El (and vice versa), even so it is impossible to understand what they really look like under their outfits.
