Covid-19: 436 dead and 311 intensive care admissions in 24 hours

France has 2200 new hospitalizations this Thursday, November 19, announced Jérôme Salomon, Director General of Health, during a press conference alongside Olivier Véran, Minister of Health.

The total number of people hospitalized with Covid-19 is 32,345.

Over the past 24 hours, 311 people have entered intensive care, ie one patient "

admitted every 4 minutes to intensive care

" explains Olivier Véran.

2,086,288 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in France since the start of the epidemic, or 21,150 more than yesterday: this Thursday, 2,171 positive diagnoses in antigenic tests were added to the 18,979 RT-PCR tests according to Public Health France.

436 people have lost their lives in 24 hours as a result of Covid-19 in hospitals, bringing the total to 47,127 people who have died since the start of the epidemic.

In the Ephad, Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister Delegate in charge of Autonomy, announces 163 deaths per day.

In order to better prevent the spread of the virus in these establishments, Bourguignon announces weekly tests from next week.

If Jérôme Salomon reports a "
