From the track to the road: Automobili Lamborghini presents the Lamborghini Huracán STO - Super Trofeo Homologated: a super sports car approved for road use, inspired by the sporting tradition of the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO series developed specifically for the single-make championship by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, but also in the Huracán GT3 EVO, three times winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona and twice of the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Naturally aspirated V10 engine with 640 hp, 565 Nm at 6,500 rpm, rear-wheel drive, 0 to 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds, 0 to 200 km / h in 9.0 seconds and a top speed of 310 km / h: these are the numbers of a racing car that, taken on the road, gives the emotions of the track thanks to the aerodynamic efficiency, the extensive use of light materials, the ease of steering and braking.

Lamborghini Huracan STO

"Huracán STO is the purest incarnation of Lamborghini Squadra Corse tradition - says Stefano Domenicali, CEO of the company - and directly transfers the technologies of the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO drawing on the successes of the Huracán GT3 EVO".

The exterior design of the Huracán STO has been completely revamped to optimize airflow and every aspect of the car draws on the aerodynamic efficiency and lightweight technology solutions essential in motorsport.

The front hood, the fenders and the front bumper are integrated into a single element: the "hood", inspired by the Lamborghini Miura and the Sesto element.

A light solution that also allows quick access as in racing cars.

New front hood air intakes increase airflow through the center radiator to improve engine cooling and help generate downforce.

The hood also includes a new front splitter that directs the airflow to the completely redesigned underbody and to the rear diffuser.

Among the novelties, a new rear fender borrowed from the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO and the design of the rear hood.

An integrated aerodynamic fin on the rear hood improves the dynamic capabilities of the STO, especially when cornering.

The manual adjustment of the aerodynamic trim using the rear wing allows to optimize the aerodynamic balance and the resistance to the advance according to the conditions of the course, with an aerodynamic balance that can vary by 13%.

The result is that aerodynamic efficiency improves by 37% and a significant increase in downforce of 53% is achieved over the Huracán Performante.

Over 75% of the exterior panels of the Huracán STO are made of carbon fiber, have a dry weight of 1,339 kg, 43 less than the already light Huracán Performante.

The magnesium rims are fitted with Bridgestone tires.

The engine is calibrated for a strongly sporty and responsive driving sensation, with a direct perception from the pedal to the accelerator.

Shift speed has been further boosted for extremely responsive and fast shifting.

The rear steering wheels and a very direct steering ratio have been designed for racing and to give an immersive driving experience, which unites driver, car and track.

Three new driving modes: STO, Trophy and Rain.

The standard STO mode is suitable for road driving and winding paths.

In the Trofeo all systems are optimized for dry asphalt and to achieve the best lap times on the track.

Rain mode optimizes traction control, torque distribution, rear wheel steering and ABS on wet asphalt.

The interior of the Huracán STO reflects the light character of the exterior;

the extensive use of carbon fiber can be seen throughout the cabin.

The Huracán's touchscreen features new graphics and manages the car's functions.

The owners of the Huracán STO can customize both the exterior and the interior to the smallest detail.

Delivery to the first customers of the new Lamborghini Huracán STO is scheduled for spring 2021, prices starting from 249 thousand euros excluding taxes.
