Shlomo Sixt Car Rental has completed the implementation of a new development of the company, combined with a unique technology from the Israeli startup company Scanovate, which allows customers interested in renting a car to complete the ordering process and rental contract, before arriving at the branch from home or office.
This is a necessary step for the period of social distance, since the development will reduce contact in the branches and will also speed up the collection time of the vehicle.
Boaz Yaakobi, VP of marketing and sales at the rental company Shlomo Sixt:
"Thanks to the new technology we have implemented, the customer enjoys a minimum stay at the branch and does not have to worry about prolonged stays near people and exposure to the corona virus."

How will the customer experience the new service?
A customer places an order on the website or at the call center and immediately upon completion of the order receives a text message containing a link, which by clicking on it opens the phone camera and all the customer has to do is take a selfie and take his driver's license
From here, the system will know how to create everything itself and the customer will already be waiting at the branch for a rental contract ready to sign, without the need to complete additional personal details and all that remains is to pay by credit card instead.
The customer receives car keys and is ready to go
Behind the technology: biometric verification, reading data from the license and making an adjustment
Yuval Shani, Vice President of Technology and Innovation at the Shlomo Group, explains the behind-the-scenes technology: "From the moment the customer places an order on the website or through the company's call center, the technology immediately performs 4 actions online: face recognition. Animals by request to move the head slightly to the side, Ocr - automatic reading of data from the driver's license and checking their correctness, including license validity, and finally - face match - which ensures a one-to-one match between the face photo and the image in the driver's license.
Abnormal termination of all the above steps, which attracted a few seconds only, transmitted data in real time to the core of the rental company and automatically erected contract rent full, without human intervention. All that remains due to customers in branches is to pass a credit card, get the keys and go.
The process The new is developed internally in the technology department of the Shlomo Group, while learning and building the needs of rental customers at Shlomo Sixt and integrating the unique technology of the Israeli startup company Scanovate, with the aim of shortening the customer's stay at the branch and streamlining the vehicle collection process.
