Already a protagonist of the compact electric car market with Zoe, the leading model in Europe, Renault is now adding to the offer the unprecedented Twingo Electric, true 'queen of the city' thanks to the combination of the basic characteristics of the Twingo with internal combustion engine with the large skills in the Losanga electrical sector transferred to this segment.
For this new zero-impact 'small' Renault has in fact used its in-depth knowledge in the city car market - thanks to the three generations of Twingo produced in almost 4 million units - to develop an electric vehicle in which handling, range and performance they are in line with the other requests of users of cars intended for urban use but also at ease on the ring road and outside the city.
Developed on a platform designed from the outset for battery operation, Twingo Electric takes up the 'jaunty' design, the engaging personality and customization possibilities of Twingo, enriching them with details that reveal its BEV identity.

As for driving pleasure and ease of driving, Twingo Electric, just like its 'twin' equipped with a petrol engine, boasts the best turning radius on the market. The electric motorization and the different driving modes make it even more fun and enjoyable and thanks to its 22kWh battery, TwingoElectric can circulate throughout the city for a whole week on a single charge. Twingo Electric is built on a platform that has been designed from the outset to be electric and is therefore characterized by a housing for the 22 kWh battery - of the latest generation and developed in partnership with LGChem - which does not modify either the habitability or the volume of the trunk. Its thermal management, guaranteed by its own cooling system, also gives it compactness and performance. There is the Caméléon battery charger, developed by the Renault Group for Zoe, which makes Twingo Electric the first compact city car to offer 'accelerated' charging of 22 kW as standard. The powertrain - motor, gearbox, loader - is also derived from Zoe's, and is built in Cléon, Normandy, on the lines that produce Renault's other electric motors. The assembly takes place in the Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia, from which all Twingo's come out. From an aesthetic point of view Twingo Electric does not show substantial differences compared to the 'thermal' Twingo but adds some successful identifying elements that underline its belonging to the Renault electric vehicle family, without changing the personal and refined look. This is the case of the front bumper shield enriched with air intakes to improve aerodynamics, and of the Led headlights with C-Shape signature, giving it dynamism and value. The combination of body colors, colored packs, stripping and rims offers Twingo multiple customization possibilities, regardless of the engine.
Twingo Electric can also count on distinctive design elements that express its electric character.
The center of the wheels is highlighted by a blue border, integrated into the nut covers. The body has a blue side stripping, standard on the Intens version, which runs the entire length to enhance its shapes. Starting with the Intens, the horizontal grille motifs are also in electric blue.
The charging socket (Type 2) is located where the fuel filler flap is located. Spacious and functional, the cockpit of Twingo Electric offers all the customization possibilities offered by the range.
The 7-inch color touchscreen display, new for the segment, gives access to new Renault EasyConnect functions. There are specific services for electric models such as charging monitoring and route planning taking into account stops at the columns. The interior can be chosen from various customization packs linked to the color of the dashboard profile, the vents and the steering wheel inserts, but also the texture of the upholstery. The center console features spacious storage compartments as well as a 7-inch center touchscreen display as standard across the range. Twingo Electric is also available at launch in the special Vibes Limited Edition series which introduces the Orange Valencia color, a specific stripping and wheels and grille inserts with an exclusive look. The specific customization also concerns the interior, which exudes the same energy as the exterior. The exclusive upholstery in TEP fabric / leather with orange stripe on the front seats, the orange border around the gear lever and specific mats, the orange stitching on the door panels and the aluminum Vibes sticker on the center console and Vibes motif finish on the dashboard.
