Walid Abdulrahman Abou Zayed, one of the suspects in the rue des Rosiers attack in 1982 in Paris, was indicted and imprisoned on Saturday.
Extradited from Norway, he arrived in France on Friday.
He had lived in Oslo since 1991 and had been naturalized in 2012. His extradition was authorized on November 27, France has been asking for since 2015.
He was indicted for "assassinations" and "attempted assassinations" then placed in pre-trial detention, we learned from a judicial source.

Walid Abdulrahman Abou Zayed is suspected of being one of the shooters who mourned the rue des Rosiers, in Paris 38 years ago.
Six people had been killed on August 9, 1982, by a commando team which had stopped in front of the restaurant Jo Goldenberg.

The operation was quickly attributed to the Fatah-Revolutionary Council (Fatah-CR) of Abu Nidal, a Palestinian dissident group of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
Abu Zayed, father of four today, claims his innocence.
