  • Sony PlayStation Pro 5. An upgraded version of the new console

Console for professionals only

Absolutely true:

Less than a month after the launch of the PlayStation 5, Sony is already working hard on its next console!

The twist: This is not a PlayStation 6, but most likely a PlayStation 5 Pro - an upgraded version of the new console.

Although the PlayStation 5 Pro has not been officially announced, the main fact speaks for itself: in recent days there have been reports that Sony has patented a console with two graphics processors, which will give the games a more impressive performance.

So is it better to wait for the PlayStation 5 Pro (if it is called that) and not settle for the regular console?

Only if you are willing to wait 3-4 years ...

As you may recall, Sony released the PlayStation 4 Pro in 2016 - in the middle of the life cycle of the original PlayStation 4.

So the 5 Pro is likely to hit the shelves as early as the end of 2023, so we wouldn’t be holding our breath.

Actor Oscar Isaac (the latest Star Wars trilogy, soon in the new adaptation of "Dune") was chosen to play the character of Solid Snake in a film based on the mythical action-stealth game brand "Metal Gear Solid" by Konami.

The announcement of the casting promotes the film, which has been in various production stages for over a decade but its filming has not yet begun, another small step towards the rise of the screens (or given the current reality, for launch in streaming).

The first title in the series, "Metal Gear", came out in 1987 and is considered by many to be the pain of stealth games.

Over the years, about 20 sequels and spin-offs have been added to various consoles and to the computer.

Solid Snake, one of the protagonists of the series, is a rugged warrior who specializes in secret solo missions and has a wonderful ability to hide in cardboard boxes and save the world over and over again.

Disco Kratos

Kratos, the protagonist of the PlayStation's Good of War's games, is admittedly basically a serious grumpy and nervous type, but that doesn't stop him from being a guest on the fifth season of "Fortnite".

A new skin for the mega-popular free game allows gamers to play the character of Kratos and even make him dance - and the truth is that it's quite entertaining.

Kratos' joining Fortnite (the Skin costs $ 1,500, which is about $ 15) is one of an impressive list of special guests who have appeared and will even appear in the game in recent years, such as Marvel heroes and most recently characters from The Mandalorian - including Baby Yoda!

Soon, according to estimates, even Master Chief from "Halo" will join the celebration, because the Xbox also deserves adequate representation.

It's not a game anymore

One thing is for sure:

in the near future we will not see the heroes of "Stranger Thinges" play in "Warcraft" or "Voice of Duty", even if later seasons of the series will take place in the periods when these games are out.

Activision-Blizzard, which is behind the well-known gaming brands, is suing Netflix for a surprising reason: the streaming giant "stole" from Activision one of its senior executives, CFO Spencer Newman, before the end of his contract.

Although the defection took place in 2018, only about a year and a half after Newman started his job at Actvision, the lawsuit, which demands compensation from Netflix and a commitment to refrain from such actions in the future, was filed only recently.

And what does a gaming executive have to look for in a streaming company?

Well, it's no secret that Netflix is squinting in the direction of video games, and even held a panel last year at the E3 show on "Turning Netflix Original Games into Games."
