The first SERES E3 is a converted version of the electric model of the petrol model

Two days after Union Motors, Toyota's importer, announced the signing of the Chinese Gili import franchise agreement, Talkar, importer of Kia and Ssangyong to Israel announces that long before Gili's models arrive in 2022, we will see their Chinese property here The SERES.

This manufacturer, is the electric arm of the SOKON Group and was established in 2016 with the aim of being the spearhead of it and the parent company Dongfang in marketing electric vehicles outside of China.

This announcement is the result of an agreement signed back in 2019 between Talkar and the Chinese manufacturer.

The first swallow, of which 100 copies are already on its way to Israel and whose marketing will begin in the first months of 2021 is the E3, this is the company's first model.

As in the case of its two main competitors, the GE3 from GAC and the electric MG ZS, it is also a conversion to electricity of an existing petrol model.

The exterior dimensions with 439 cm in length, a width of 185 cm, a height of 165 cm and a wheelbase of 266 cm are similar to those of Qashqai or the MG.

The mechanical menu is a 160 hp electric motor that launches the E3 to 100 km / h in 8.9 seconds. 53.6 kilowatt-hour batteries are expected to provide it with a declared range of just over 300 km.

The charging system supports the use of a fast charging station that will charge 80 percent of the battery in half an hour.

The price, one might guess, will be similar to that of its two competitors, each number in the NIS 130,000-140,000 segment.

According to the importer, in the second half of 2021 another model will join the E3, it will be the SF5, this is already a dedicated electric car, with SERES defining it as an alternative to Tesla.

Its exterior dimensions, with 470 cm in length, 193 cm width, 163 cm height and 288 cm wheelbase place it in the size group of premium electric crossovers like Audi e-tron, Jaguar i-pace Or a Mercedes EQC, though it is likely that while it will be much more expensive than the E3, its price tag will be significantly lower than that of the car mentioned.

The SF5 comes with two propulsion configurations, rear or dual in which one or two engines are used respectively.

When its two engines are used, the combined power is 683 hp and a startling torque of 106 kg.

Acceleration to 100 km / h in this version - 3.5 seconds. A 90 kilowatt-hour battery allows a declared range of 500 km between charges.
