Subaru Europe, the subsidiary of Subaru Corporation in the Old Continent, has confirmed that a fully electric model is in preparation that will arrive on the market in the first half of the current decade (i.e. by 2025). It will be a 100% electric midsize SUV - with dimensions similar to those of Subaru Forester - and which will be built on a shared platform with Toyota. In communicating that more information will be provided over the next year, Subaru highlights the efforts being made to reduce its environmental footprint in Europe and meet the growing demand for alternative powertrains. This new model will also mark a second step in the electrification of the brand in Europe, having recently launched the Impreza e-Boxer, Subaru XV e-Boxer and Forester e-Boxer which today account for 60% of the sales volume.
