A dumpster was targeted early Monday morning by gunfire in Eysines, near Bordeaux, in the Gironde.
According to Sud-Ouest, a projectile, which could be a hunting ammunition-type bullet, perforated the body of the dumpster behind the passenger door and hit the leg of one of the officers.
The injured was taken care of by firefighters and taken to emergencies.
The 120 agents of the Bordeaux Métropole cleanliness service depending on the Eysines depot decided to exercise their right of withdrawal on Monday.
