Mercedes continues to expand the product line of its electric EQ division.

So far it has been populated by the EQC, the mid-range crossover and the EQV which is an electric version of the V-Class and now joins the compact EQA which is based on the GLA and is actually an electric version of it.

In the near future, they will be joined by the EQS, the manufacturer's electric flagship that, unlike the other three, will use a dedicated electric platform.

At this stage, the 250 version of the EQA is launched. This means that the electric motor has a power of 190 hp and 38.2 kg, and accelerates the vehicle to 100 km / h in 8.9 seconds and up to a maximum of 160 km / h.

The paddle at this point is front only.

In the future with the introduction of more powerful versions (including the AMG version) dual propulsion and higher power will also be offered.

The declared range of 426 km he takes out of a 66.5 kWh battery.

The charging system that supports up to 100DC of full charge will allow the batteries to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in a period of about 30 minutes.

In a normal charging position, the time period will be about 5 and a half hours for charging from 10 to 100 percent.

The EQA is based on the GLA, but the total length is 5 cm longer with 446 cm from end to end and with 162 cm it is a single centimeter higher than it.

The width remains the same and stands at 184 cm and the wheelbase also remains at 273 cm.

Two figures that vary significantly between the two are the volume of the trunk, which drops by 95 liters to 340 liters, and the figure of weight, which jumps by about 500 kg and stops by 2,040 kg.

The EQA is expected to arrive in Israel in the second quarter of the year, when it lands here, if there are no new entrants to the group, it will have one full electric competitor here - the Lexus UX300e with similar dimensions although a more powerful engine and slightly better performance in short jump and distance.

The price of the Lexus is NIS 258,000 for the base version and NIS 293,000 for the equipped version.

The EQA is likely to be more expensive, the question of what gap.
