Foundation: Often preventing corona deaths from sepsis

According to the German Sepsis Foundation, many corona patients die of undetected blood poisoning.

Sepsis - commonly known as blood poisoning - is an overreaction of the immune system to an infection.

According to the intensive care physician Reinhart, sepsis not only plays a decisive role in corona, but also in Ebola, flu or any future pandemic, regardless of the pathogen.
Therefore he calls for a national sepsis plan.
According to the Sepsis Foundation, around 75,000 people in Germany die of sepsis every year.
According to the Foundation, around 15,000 to 20,000 of them could be saved if the disease was recognized in good time and treated appropriately.

General practitioner association calls for fixed prices for surgical and FFP2 masks
