Covid-19: 22,848 new cases in 24 hours, more than 130,000 people vaccinated in France

The upward trend in hospitalizations of Covid-19 patients continued on Thursday. In total, 25,735 people are hospitalized, including 2,876 in intensive care.


22,848 new contaminations were detected in France in 24 hours, according to figures published on Thursday, against 26,784 the day before.

In total, 2,987,965 cases of Covid-19 have been identified in France since the start of the pandemic in France.

The upward trend in hospitalizations of Covid-19 patients continued on Thursday.

In total, 25,735 people are hospitalized and 1,755 new patients with Covid-19 were admitted in 24 hours, or 151 less than the day before, including 252 in intensive care (-40).

The number of people admitted to intensive care is however increasing, from 2,852 the day before to 2,876 this Thursday.

130,790 people received the first dose of vaccine on Thursday.

Now 823,567 French people have been vaccinated (including people who have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine), according to the VaccinTracker site.

Vaccination appointments against Covid-19 had to be deprogrammed in several regions of France, sometimes until March.

In question, an insufficient supply of doses.

The government

blames “overbooking”

in some centers.

"Despite an additional allocation of 15,600 doses obtained this week at the request of the ARS and the regional prefecture, the number of doses available"
