No one has heard from Joud Berzi for five days this Sunday.
This young boy, only two and a half years old, was kidnapped by his stepfather, Hamdi Barez, 34, in Carpentras (Vaucluse).
Both, actively sought, could now be in Italy.
An investigation for "kidnapping and sequestration of a minor under 15" was entrusted to the services of the judicial police of Avignon, responsible for finding them.
It was on Tuesday January 19 that the child's mother saw her son and his companion for the last time.

took advantage of the absence of the young mother, aged 23, party to file a complaint at the police station for domestic violence, to leave with the child.
The day after the kidnapping, the stepfather called the mother to tell her that he had gone to Italy and threatened to kill the child.
A call for witnesses broadcast
Since then, it is a race against time to which the police services lend themselves.
A call for witnesses has been sent out and the police are calling anyone who has information to contact them (by phone on 04 91 39 86 04).
An alert was provided to the Italian authorities in order to participate in the search.
According to La Provence, the child would be asthmatic and his treatment would have remained at home.

At the time of the disappearance, the child was dressed in a gray track top with hood, a navy and sky blue short-sleeved bodysuit, a long-sleeved sweater with a design of Mickey Mouse and a 3/4 black coat.
The father-in-law was dressed in a long-sleeved sweater with blue, white and red piping on the sleeves, a white and black colored jacket, khaki green sweatpants, a hooded puffer jacket. white with black interior and Nike Airmax type sneakers in black and white.
According to 20 Minutes, the family knows Italy having passed through it before arriving in France.
Originally from Tunisia, she had joined Europe in 2018, therefore transiting through Italy, Germany, the region of Angers (Maine-et-Loire) before settling in Vaucluse.
Hamdi Barez has in the past already been convicted of acts of domestic violence on his campaign.
