Google announced today (Monday) that it will set up vaccine complexes at various company sites across the U.S. - such as warehouses, parking lots and offices, with the goal of improving access to the vaccine for vulnerable populations.
"The Corona plague has profoundly affected the entire community around the world," Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, wrote in the official blog.
"To help with the vaccination efforts, we will provide Google with selected facilities - such as buildings, parking lots and open spaces - as needed. These sites will be open to anyone eligible for the vaccine according to state and government guidelines."
Pichi stressed that $ 100 million will be transferred to the US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) for advertising on the company's online platforms, in order to provide reliable information that will help the public avoid the sources of the Pike News distributor. Local "In order to reach vulnerable communities with content and information related to vaccines," the company's CEO added.
In addition, the company notes that there has been a jump in the search for information about the spread of the plague in the search pages that are regularly updated by region, and it will soon be possible to find the vaccine site closest to our home within Google.
The option will be available first in states such as Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas - and later in other states.
