HOUSTON - Axiom Space today (Tuesday) unveiled all crew members of the first mission in human history that is expected to depart for the International Space Station, which includes only private individuals.

Participating in this historic mission along with impact investor and philanthropist Eitan Steve from Israel, also Michael Lopez-Allegria, former NASA astronaut (US Space Agency) and Vice President Axiom Spice;

Larry Connor, American entrepreneur and activist investor in non-profit organizations and Mark Pati, investor and Canadian philanthropist.

Lopez-Allegria, who has flown into space four times in 20 years and broken many NASA records, recently visited the International Space Station in 2007. He will become the first person to command a fully manned civilian and commercial spaceflight. Conor will be the first private mission pilot in the history of Space Flights Pati will be Canada's 11th astronaut, Steva, a close friend of Ilan Ramon, an astronaut on the Columbia space shuttle crew, and a former pilot in the Israeli Air Force, will be the second Israeli in space.

"This collection of pioneers - the first space crew of its kind - represents a groundbreaking moment in humanity's research and advancement aspirations," said Lopez-Allegria.

"I know, from personal experience, that the encounter between humans and space is a profound experience that motivates us to make a more significant contribution upon our return to Earth. Although many astronauts have gone into space before them, current crew members have faced challenges that have given them the ability to accept responsibility. "And make a real global impact. I look forward to leading the team on its way to the next significant contribution to humanity's story, both on the flight path and on their return to Earth."

Axiom Task 1

The planned Ax-1 mission will include a crew stay in the U.S. International Space Station for about eight days, as well as crew participation in research and philanthropic projects.

Conor, who has founded and led real estate, fintech and non-profit organizations, will work on research projects in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic and Cleaveland Clinic. In addition, he plans to teach classes to students at Dayton Early College Academy in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio.

Pati is currently working with the Canadian Space Agency and the Montreal Children's Hospital, which are assisting in locating health research projects that Pati will be able to carry out during the mission.

Steve plans to conduct experiments by Israeli scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs who will be selected by an independent scientific committee composed of representatives in the fields of academia, industry and government in Israel.

The Israeli mission is led by the Ramon Foundation together with the Israeli Space Agency in the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In addition, Steva will deliver educational activities from space that will inspire children, youth and educators in Israel.

"In assembling the team for the historic expedition we aimed to include people who over the course of their lives have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of humans on Earth. I am happy to say we have succeeded in this mission," said Axiom Spice President and CEO Michael Superdini. "That their private missions to the International Space Station will truly inaugurate a broad future for humans in space and bring about a significant change in the world with the return of crew members home."
