Since yesterday, Audi enthusiasts and high-tech car enthusiasts in general have had the opportunity to embark on a virtual and interactive journey through the departments of the German plant in Neckarsulm, the third installment of the AudiStream project that allows remote access, now also in English language, to the production processes of the Quattro Anelli cars.
As it will be possible to discover also the next 3 and 10 February - other dates that can be booked for the visit to Neckarsulm - it will be possible to see live, which is rarely allowed to do physically, the manufacturing phases of the 'jewels' of the Audi Sport GmbH range at the Audi Boellinger Hoefe, a site of excellence of the brand located in the immediate vicinity of Neckarsulm.
To illustrate the places and moments of the visit are available - always virtually - tourist guides who accompany the tour by answering questions directly.
The Audi Boellinger Hoefe has been home to the production of the Audi R8 since 2014 and in 2019 this factory was expanded and converted using innovative virtual design methods, so as to create a unique synergy between craftsmanship and principles of the smart factory.
Since last December the Audi Boellinger Hoefe has also started production of the new electric touring car Audi e-Tron GT.
The battery-powered supercar and the sporty Audi R8 share the assembly line despite the different technical concepts;
a unique case within the Volkswagen Group.
Audi e-Tron GT is expected in Italian dealerships during the second quarter of 2021. In the meantime, thanks to AudiStream, cyber visitors can virtually access the lines of the brand's first electric sports car and experience its e-sound.
Thanks to the 'Live at Audi in Neckarsulm' web service, interested parties can already become protagonists in three series (the first two were dedicated to the Ingolstadt factory and the design department) of an interactive online visit of about 20 minutes, assisted by guides specialists who remotely lead visitors and answer every question by adapting the live stream.
Thanks to specific video sequences, it is possible to deepen the contents and find out how an Audi is produced, ranging, for example, from the first phases within the press department to the finishing of the bodywork.
Cyber visitors can book the live stream for free at www.audi.stream
