Snow, rain and wind: several departments on orange alert

WEATHER - The active disturbances that have crossed the country since Wednesday have generated abundant rainfall from Lorraine to the Northern Alps.


The weather channel * placed 8 departments on an orange alert for heavy rain or strong winds on Saturday, January 30.

These departments are: Ain, Corse-du-Sud, Haute-Corse, Doubs, Isère, Jura, Savoie and Haute-Savoie.

According to our partner, precipitation should decrease during the day, while snow is expected in Flanders.

Here are the latest forecasts: the country will still experience a lot of rain and wind this Saturday, with sometimes quite strong gusts and some snowfall.

With the cooling at the end of the day, a thin layer of snow on the ground is possible in the Nord-Pas de Calais, under a moderate easterly wind.

For Météo-France, 23 departments are in orange vigilance.

Orange vigilance for floods is in effect for certain rivers in Normandy, Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Grand Est, Franche-Comté, Rhône-Alpes and Aquitaine.

The Jura and the Doubs are on orange vigilance for rain and flooding.

The Hautes-Alpes, Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie are always on orange alert for avalanches.

Finally, a new orange vigilance for waves and submersion concerns the coasts of Finistère, Morbihan, Gironde and the Landes.
