Locator and Segway Israel (by the importer UME) today launch TICK TRACK, a smart system for detecting electric scooter thefts, in light of the increasing amount of thefts that broke records this year.
This is a compact system that can be easily removed and allows the rider to be connected to his scooter 24/7.
The device is connected to an app that allows you to view the location of the scooter in real time and receive alerts about a series of suspicious actions - such as entering and exiting a predefined area, traveling at hours defined as prohibited for travel, starting unauthorized travel or speeding.
In addition, the user will receive a report of theft from Ituran's operational system, which operates 24/7.
"The phenomenon of thefts of electric scooters has increased significantly in the past year," says Yair Junger, UME's VP of Marketing and Sales.
Simultaneously with the rise of power tools and demand, the effects of theft increased.
We turned to the leaders in the field in order to create an effective and smart solution for customers and couriers in particular. "
At first it will be possible to install the system in Segway-Ninebot electric scooters only.
