Skoda importer to Israel announces the start of marketing of the sports version of the family Octavia.
As in the previous three generations, the RS version adds to the useful and family body of the Skoda Octavia sporty assemblies like a more powerful engine, brakes, control systems, sporty dampers and a different design in the cabin.

The engine in the Octavia RS continues from the previous generation and offers 245 hp at 5,000 rpm and 37.7 kg at 1,600 rpm.
The changes made to the engine relate to the fuel injection system and more in order to maintain the level of air pollution and fuel consumption.
Performance in the current generation remains almost the same as the outgoing generation, accelerating to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds (6.6 seconds on the outgoing RS245) and the same top speed of 250 km / h.
Another one that continues with the current generation is the dynamic chassis control system (DCC) which together with adaptive dampers and driving mode control will allow a choice between four Normal, Comfort, Sport, Individual modes to which the throttle sensitivity, gearbox and dampers will be adjusted.
The key changes in the dynamic aspect are the relinquishment of a mechanical limited-slip differential that the outgoing generation had (the VAQ) in favor of a new generation of the XDS + system that simulates a limited-slip differential by braking the wheel with the least grip.
A progressive steering wheel (similar to that of the Audi S3) is also added to this generation as standard.

In the cabin there are more supportive and grippy electric sports seats, with red stitching and RS lettering, along with various steering wheel and pedals.
The dashboard is a 10.25-inch digital with a choice of different views, a top view, a 10-inch multimedia screen with Hebrew support, a coupling for Apple and Android devices and a Canton audio system with 11 speakers, opening and closing the trunk door.
Alongside these are also the familiar features from the standard Octavia like five USB sockets (two in front, two in the back and one near the center mirror), air conditioning outlets for those sitting in the back with separate control and more.
