Covid-19 in France: 413 deaths in 24 hours, 112,596 new vaccinations

2,294,208 people received a first injection of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine, according to figures released by the government on Monday.


More than 4,000 people have been infected by the Covid-19 epidemic in France in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the appearance of the epidemic in France to 3,469,539, according to the Health report Publique France published on Monday February 15th.

France deplores 58,227 deaths from a Covid-19 infection since the start of the epidemic, including 413 in hospital between Sunday and Monday.

A little less than 10,000 new hospitalizations including intensive care have been identified by Public Health France in the last seven days.

The test positivity rate is decreasing to stand at 5.9%.

These data should be taken with precaution: on Mondays, the information published is still impacted downwards by the closure of analysis laboratories on weekends.

According to figures announced by the government in a press release, 2,294,208 people have received a first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine since the start of the campaign, i.e. 3.5% of the total population and 4.3% of the major population.

Still according to the same source, 720,249 second injections were performed.
