With more and more competitors adding electric propulsion to their vehicles, such as the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and others, with requirements for compliance with air pollution standards and as part of a gradual transition to electric propulsion systems, it is the turn of the Jaguar F-PACE to get plug-in electrical charging .
The base engine will be Jaguar's generic propulsion unit, four supercharged 2.0-liter cylinders that produce 250 hp and 37.2 kg here.
The paddle is dual and the gearbox is planetary automatic with 8 gears.
It will take 7.3 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h and top speed is 217 km / h.
The new engine, the P400e uses the same gasoline unit in combination with an electric motor.
The combination of the two bounces the power to 404 hp and 65.3 kg.
The paddle and gearbox are the same but here the performance gets a significant jump - 5 seconds for 100 and 240 km / h maximum. 17.1 kWh batteries provide a declared range of 53 km electric.

The exterior design gets minor changes to the air intakes and refinement of the lighting units similar to those received by the F TYPE box office car.
In the cabin the main changes are the dial-shaped gear selector that is replaced with an electric control reminiscent of an airplane throttle, an 11.4-inch multimedia screen, a new steering wheel, climate control dials and more.
The F-PACE will be marketed in two trim levels with the gasoline engine, the basic S which costs NIS 485,000 and the S Plus at a price of NIS 488,000.
The base version is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, electric opening to the trunk, a Meridian audio system and an off-road driving mode selector.
But lacks elemental accessories in cars in its sum like electric steering wheel steering, keyless entry and wireless mobile charger.
But more problematic, it also lacks advanced safety systems such as adaptive cruise control, "dead zone" vehicle warning, cross-traffic warning and more and is content to correct lane departure and automatic braking.

The company maintains the full safety systems as well as additional equipment for the high levels of finish, the S Plus.
There is keyless entry, trunk opening with a leg lift, steering wheel heating, electric steering wheel steering, wireless mobile charger and more.
This level of finish in the plug-in version jumps the price to NIS 532,000 and officially adds to the instrumentation, among other things, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, adaptive damping for shock absorbers, red calipers, 20-inch rims, front fog lamps and more.

As mentioned, with a price range of NIS 458,000 and up to NIS 532,000 for the S Plus finish level with the plug-in hybrid propulsion, the Jaguar F-PACE is priced above popular competitors such as the BMW X3, which ranges from 336 to 415 for the plug-in version, Audi Q5 in NIS 359,000 and NIS 400,000 for the plug-in version, as well as the Volvo XC60, which ranges from NIS 310,000 to NIS 400,000 for the most senior and well-equipped T8.
Mercedes currently lacks a direct response with the marketing of the GLC in the significantly more expensive AMG versions.
Despite the awakening in the brand, with the upgrade of the propulsion systems and cabin cells and also with the new wind blowing from it, it is expected to face tough competition in this segment.
