After the feature was available in recent years around the world, today (Monday) users in Israel also enjoy the music component on Facebook and Instagram.

Along with the new component, Facebook is launching Reels in Israel, the platform that competes with Tiktok, with the feature and app available starting in the evening (Israel time).

"Today, more than ever, people are coming to our platforms to connect and share with each other. We are happy to give people in Israel new ways to express themselves, share music that is important to them and add soundtrack to their personal moments," said Erin Pettigio, Reels Product Manager.

Rails is the new way to create and edit short videos on Instagram, much like Tiktok and it seems that the American giant has developed the app following the high popularity of Tiktok.

On the platform you can shoot and edit videos, up to 30 seconds long, which consist of several clips and can include audio, effects, backgrounds and a variety of new creative tools.

Rails can be shared with followers on Feed.

Tonight in Israel, Instagram users will see the Reels option on the camera on the platform.

You can shoot videos directly through Reels or use the videos you saved in the mobile film and use creative tools to edit the video.

All the options that Reels offers to users

  • Audio: You can search for songs in the music library, choose from music in the "Trending" and "For you" categories or use an original sound clip and record it along with the video.

    An original soundtrack shared on Reel will be associated with the creator;

In public accounts, people will be able to use the audio clip for their own videos, by clicking "Use Audio".

  • AR: You can choose augmented reality (AR) effects from Instagram's effects gallery, featuring a variety of Instagram and content creator effects from around the world.

  • Timer and countdown: You can set a timer for recording the videos.

When recording starts, a three-second countdown will appear on the screen.

  • Alignment: Adjust the objects that appeared in the video you shot before recording the next video to create smooth transitions between videos (for videos where you change costumes or add more people to the video, for example).

  • Speed: You can speed up or slow down certain parts of a video or audio to keep up with the music or produce slow-motion videos.

  • Touch-up: You can add a "smooth" effect to the video and control the intensity of the video.

This is how you will use the new music component

  • To add a song to Stories, open the camera on Instagram or Facebook, or alternatively select from the gallery, and click on the icon dedicated to the music sticker.

Once you select a song, if there are words available on the platform, they will also automatically appear in the story.

  • You can select excerpts from the song you want to highlight, add the artist name and the name of the song.

You can also change the animation and text design by clicking on the sticker and also move the position of the words on the video, rotate, enlarge and reduce - as you do with any Instagram sticker.

  • People will be able to answer the popular question sticker in Stories with a song from the music library - and share the answers they liked.

The feature is available for use in Stories on both Facebook and Instagram.

  • People will also be able to add songs to interests and hobbies on their Facebook profile, or stick songs up the profile.

The song you choose will play when people visit your profile, and they will also be able to visit the artist's Facebook page by clicking on the musical section.
