Nissan has unveiled the third generation of the Qashqai, the recreational vehicle that was one of the founders of this category.

The new Qashqai uses the C-CMF platform in its redesigned version and gets a completely new design, one that abandons the look of the previous model.

The new generation offers dimensions that have grown in every direction and also where it really matters - the base of the wheels (an addition of 2 cm).

The cabin also offers a new look, though it is not a complete revolution as the exterior design has experienced.

You can find a large media screen (9 inches) and also a virtual dashboard here, with Nissan's pride in the top display (10.8 inches) - the largest in the category they claim.

When it comes to equipment, you can also find split air conditioning for the rear seats, with the occupants also receiving charging sockets.

More important is the advanced safety equipment that includes adaptive cruise control with the ability to adapt to speed signs, autonomous braking even when reversing and an airbag between the driver and passenger.

The Qashqai will continue with the familiar engine (1.3 L) that will be offered at two power levels (138 and 156 hp).

A more innovative engine version, relying on two electric motors and a petrol engine used as a range extender.

It is time perhaps to point out that petrol engines have a lightweight hybrid system that allows for long engine bleeding and should contribute to lower fuel consumption and reduction in pollution.

The most powerful gasoline version is expected to arrive in Israel, as it is the only one equipped with an automatic option.

This is a continuous gearbox that will move the front wheels (there is a possibility of dual propulsion in the said model).

This version will arrive here first, during the second half of 2021. The electric propulsion version is expected to arrive here in early 2022.
