The Spanish motorcycle brand, Gus Gus, has known during its 36 years of life more falls from an enduro rider and more shakes from a motocross motorcycle - but this time, it is embarking on a whole new path.

The acquisition campaign of the KTM homeowner PIERER Group, which began in 2017 with Husqvarna (imported by Ofer Avnir) led the Austrian company to acquire the Spanish manufacturer in 2019.

This mix allowed the company to actually produce a "layer cake" of positioning the various brands within The house hierarchically.

When KTM's Six Days models will be at the top of the pyramid, under the Husqvarna brand, the regular KTM models and then Gus Gus as the more accessible and cheaper base brand.

The entry under the parent company's wings brings Gus Gus to make a fundamental change in all of its model offerings, when in fact the vast majority of major assemblies like engine, chassis, rear arm, rear shock absorber and others come from the KTM and Husqvarna parts shelf.

The change is in the casing components that use lesser known and expensive brands or in less advanced versions of assemblies like the WP shocks that here do not offer spring load direction for example, no shields, no ignition map selector or fan as there are in the 4-stroke Husqvarna models.

The range of models of the "new" Gus Gus is spread over 14 vehicles from the enduro, motocross, trial and motorcycle families designed for children.

The manufacturer's range of tools begins with three motorcycles from the motocross family or in short MC intended for children (8-15), all three with two-stroke engines in volumes of 50, 65 and 80 cc at prices of 21, 26 and 30 thousand shekels.

The larger ones, three of them, come in volumes of 125 in the MC125 two-stroke and beyond to the MC250F and the MC450F with four-stroke engines. The price range is NIS 39,500, 42,500 and 45,000 respectively. The

Last but not least, the Trial motorcycles. On the same proven basis. Four models will be offered in the TXT family, all with two-stroke liquid-cooled engines. The volumes range from 125 to 300 cc and the prices from 40,900 to 47,900 shekels.

As presented at the press conference, the prices of Gus Gus tools are on average about 12 percent lower than those of Husqvarna and about 7 percent lower than the price of similar KTM models.

Again, all with the aim of positioning the brand as one that offers quality and "back" benefits from a reputable manufacturer at affordable and affordable prices that will suit beginner riders.

By the way "back" Unfortunately, according to the importer, the transition of the models to KTM assemblies will not allow it to provide service to tools sold before this transition and not by it.

I'm not sure this is the way to broadcast that a brand has been rebuilt here and to build trust in it or retain the customers who are already wearing red and white.

As part of the desire to build riding communities, the importer offers its customers activities and benefits, customer clubs that will discount riding equipment and more.

But not only there, in collaboration with the riding training company "Proriding" of Kfir Levin.

As part of this, customers who purchase a new vehicle receive an exclusive benefit - an initial off-road riding course for only NIS 280.

The riding courses will depart from Ofer Avnir's logistics center in Modi'in, which also serves as a "mother base" for riders who store tools there on a regular basis.
