It's been three years since Seat's sports division was born, the one that was supposed to take the reputation created by Leon's end versions and leverage them into an independent brand.
Until last year the only thing we saw of them at the showroom level was the Copra Atca, but 2021 marks its year of breakthrough ahead, with an independent product line and should be said - powerful.
The first of those standalone models is the Formentor, a hatchback-designed crossover-coupe offered in two versions, the first with a 2.0-liter 310 hp engine and the second a plug-in hybrid that combines a petrol engine with an electric unit for a combined 245 hp.

But for Copra it's not enough to really celebrate three years, so it introduces the Formator VZ5, the extreme super version of the model, and its name explains pretty much everything there is to know about it.
VZ is an abbreviation for the word Veloz which in Spanish means "fast".
And where does this "fast" come from?
This is where the number 5 in his name comes into the picture - under his hood is the same fine 5-cylinder unit from Audi, the one in the bow of the RS3 and RSQ5 and actually appears for the first time in a model that does not come from Stuttgart.
The power of 390 hp, together with dual propulsion and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox kicks it to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds (faster than the RSQ3) and up to a top speed of 250 km / h.
The VZ5 Also lowered, rugged (with a choice of 15 degrees of stiffness), larger brakes, 20-inch rims and Pirelli P Zero tires.

The division will differentiate the brand, among other things, by placing separate showrooms in Copra, but this is only the beginning.
The manufacturer intends to provide a different and distinct purchasing experience and cost.
For example, its showrooms, which will also offer a shell of the brand's accessories, will be called - Copra Garage.
And there will be no routine showrooms, but more in the direction of "experience complexes" for the buyers of the cars, to which will also be attached "Copra Masters", contacts who will accompany the customer in the process of purchasing the model and beyond.
How much of this talk is the manufacturer's marketing promises and how much of it will come true?
We do not have to wait too long to know this.
In the middle of next month (March), the importer Champion Motors will launch the brand in Israel and in general the marketing of the Formator will also begin.
