After being nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for her role in Netflix's "Rebel" series, Israeli actress Shira Haas is picking up another exciting achievement: the actress will play former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir in a new series called "Lavia".
The series will be based on a biography written by author Francis Klagsbrunn about Golda and published about four years ago and will be produced by the legendary singer and actress Barbara Streisand.
The book tells the story of Golda Meir as one of the central and most prominent leaders in the history of the State of Israel.
He goes back to her childhood in Kiev, Ukraine, her life in Milwaukee in the United States and the key roles she played on the way to the establishment of the State of Israel until her tenure as the first and only woman to head her government.
Shira Haas, 25, is one of the busiest and most popular Israeli actresses.
Tonight she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for the great role in the "Rebel" series, a nomination that joins the Emmy Award nomination for the same role.
Tonight's award was picked up by Anya Tyler Joy for her performance in "Queen Gambit".
