Colombia had passed the 50,000 dead mark on January 21, as it battled the second wave of the epidemic.

She is now beyond the critical phase and the daily numbers of deaths and infections have been declining for several weeks.

Colombia is currently the second Latin American country in terms of contagions, behind Brazil, and the third in terms of deaths behind Brazil and Mexico.
