Tiktok Global is today launching two new features designed to help the user community combat the effects of platform bullying.
This is a step by the platform to fight cyberbullying, when from now on creators will be able to block comments and commenters will get a chance to "consider words", a kind of "education" of surfers to rethink before they post an abusive comment.
"Our main goal at Tiktok is to provide our community with a fun and safe experience," said Julie de Beilincourt, Tiktok Product Policy Manager.
"Creators are putting tremendous effort into designing their content so it is important for us to provide them with the tools to help them better control their experience. We want Tiktoc to continue to be a place where creativity thrives and hope the new features help promote platform courtesy and community," she concluded.

The "Filter all comments" feature will allow creators to decide which comments will appear in their videos.
When enabled, comments are not automatically displayed alongside the video unless the video creator approves them using the new tool.
This feature gives creators control over the discourse that arises about their content and only approve responses that will not provoke a violent and inflammatory discourse.
The additional feature that Tiktok launches, "Consider before you comment", will try to encourage members of the Tiktok community to be nicer: whenever Tiktoker writes a comment that includes use of expressions that include words of violence or aggressive character, a pop-up will pop up in the window The responses he will ask: "Is that really how you want to respond?".
The new feature is designed to encourage members of the Tiktok community to treat each other with respect and suggest respondents re-edit their response before sending it.
