Denmark suspends AstraZeneca vaccine

The Danish authorities extended their recommendation to use the AstraZeneca vaccine on March 5 to those over 65. They returned to their position after noticing coagulation problems in patients.


Denmark has suspended as a precaution and until further notice the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19 because of fears related to the formation of blood clots in vaccinated people, announced its health authority, Thursday, March 11.

This suspension comes "

after reports of serious cases of blood clots in people who have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine

," said the National Health Agency, while stressing that "
