Convenience and connections

JBL's Boombox 2, which is sold on the Bug network, is very prominent wherever it is and cannot be missed.

It has a large handle (surprisingly comfortable, with a roughness that allows for a good grip);

It is large and heavy - almost half a meter wide and almost 6 kilos;

The elements on its sides shake bluntly while playing bass sounds (because what is such a big speaker worth without the snuff?);

And it mostly provides a very loud sound.

On the speaker there are control buttons including amplification and lowering of the sound, threading to additional speakers (although it is not possible to connect to the previous Boombox, because JBL replaced the threading technology), on and off, connecting Bluetooth, and playing or stopping a song.

A bit disappointing that there are no buttons to move forward or backward in songs, especially when there is so much room to put them.

On the other hand, when the device is making a loud noise, it may be best not to cling to it and just control the songs from the phone.

How do you hear?

The sound source can be Bluetooth (when the phone is paired quickly and conveniently), or a standard 3.5mm audio cable - something that is disappearing from speakers, and JBL chose to leave it in this model. The Boombox 2 reaches 40W when connected to electricity, and 30W when working on the internal battery. Either way it is powerful and suitable for large parties, and everyone can still enjoy the music, thanks to the high volume. Sometimes high volume is the weak point of speakers and headphones.

Usually when amplified to the end, the sound is distorted.

But in JBL it's not like that.

Even when you amplify a lot and get to the end (because there are a lot of people present at the party and they, let's say, maintain a social distance), the sound still sounds very good - in any style of music - from classical to electronic.

However, it is important to note - this is not a speaker for audiophiles, who will prefer speakers that provide more accurate sounds, and perhaps with a little less emphasis on the bass.

battery

In addition to those there are, a light bulb that shows the battery status.

The situation will usually report that you have enough of it.

When not connected to a power source, the Boombox 2 held up to 24 hours as promised by the manufacturer.

But only about half the volume.

When you increase it to the end, the battery time can drop to as much as eight hours.

If you have been planning a glacier (do you still use that word?) For a few days - you will need to get to Kerry with a socket.

The Boombox will need to spend about 6.5 hours there to reach full charge.

On the other hand, if you do not need all these 24 hours, you can use the Boombox 2 as an external battery and charge the phone from it through a USB A socket located in the back.

The Boombox 2 has IPx7 water resistance according to the manufacturer, which means it's not terrible if it snatches the sprays (but in the end, do not throw it in the water).

Should I buy?

NIS 1,359 is quite a bit of money, probably for a speaker.

But in return you get about half a day of listening to music, very good audio quality, and a huge speaker with components of chopsticks.
