Danis D., suspected of having participated in the theft in 2019 of the work of the street artist painted on a door of the Bataclan, was indicted Monday and placed in pre-trial detention, a judicial source said on Wednesday.
The individual, born in 1987, was wanted and was arrested on March 10 in Isère by the gendarmes acting on a rogatory commission from an investigating judge of the Paris judicial court, according to a source close to the file.
At the end of his police custody, he was "indicted (Monday) on the count of organized robbery and placed in pre-trial detention," said the judicial source.
The man acknowledged his participation in the scouting around the Bataclan and in the theft of the work of art, which had been painted in tribute to the victims of the attacks of November 13, 2015.
In this investigation, six other people were indicted in June 2020 - two for theft in an organized gang and four for concealment of theft in an organized gang - and imprisoned.

On the night of January 25 to 26, 2019 at 4 a.m., three men, face masks, had cut the back door of the Bataclan with a grinder in a few minutes before fleeing in a van with concealed number plates.
On this metal door, the street-artist Banksy had painted in 2018 with a stencil and white paint "The sad young girl" in tribute to the 90 people killed in the terrorist attack on the auditorium on November 13, 2015.
The work was found in Italy a year and a half after its theft, in June 2020, in a farmhouse in Abruzzo, during a joint operation by French police and Italian riflemen.
Handed over to France by the Italian authorities, the door was placed under seal and under close surveillance in the premises of the Paris judicial police.

Among the accused is Mehdi Meftah, creator of a luxury T-shirt brand called "BL1.D" whose particularity is to sew a real 18-carat gold bar on the neckline.
Suspected of being the sponsor of the theft, which he disputes, he would have wanted, according to his accomplices, "to keep the door for one of his houses that he is developing", had reported a source close to the investigation.
The works of street artist Banksy, whose real identity is unknown, never cease to arouse fantasies and lusts.
According to specialists, they can easily cost several hundred thousand euros on the occult art market.
