Failed attempt to kill someone, or act of intimidation?
In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the sub-prefecture of Corte, in Haute-Corse, was the target of several shots by firearm, denounce this Wednesday the prefects of Corsica and Haute-Corse as well as the prosecutor.
These shots did not cause any casualties.
Some shots "went through a window and entered an administrative office," said the prosecutor of the Republic of Bastia, Arnaud Viornery.
The latter opened an investigation for "degradation by means dangerous for people", underlining "the particular gravity of these facts".

"I can only wonder about the repetition of this kind of facts by a single person", adds the prosecutor.
Molotov cocktails by an isolated individual have already been carried out on this sub-prefecture on December 17, 2020 and on the night of February 22 to 23.
The shots of last night gave rise to "material damage on the facade and inside the building", indicated the prefect of Corsica, Pascal Lelarge, in a press release, regretting that "once again a sub-prefecture is the object of an attack in Corsica ”.
During the night of April 13 to 14, the sub-prefecture of CORTE was the subject of gunfire.
The prefect expresses his deep indignation at this particularly serious gesture and assures his deepest support to the agents and their families.

The latter provided "his support to the sub-prefect of Corte, his family and all the agents of the sub-prefecture".
The prefect of Haute-Corse, François Ravier, for his part expressed "his deep indignation at a gesture of particular gravity, which endangered agents and their families".
