The United States in shock of a new case of police violence.
The policewoman who shot dead a young black man near Minneapolis on Sunday was arrested Wednesday morning, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
The agent will be charged with manslaughter, the prosecutor in charge of the case told several American media on Wednesday.
Magistrate Pete Orput is expected to quickly publicly announce his decision regarding Kim Potter, who killed 20-year-old Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center on Sunday.
The policewoman later claimed to have confused her Taser and her service weapon.
"The agent intended to use his Taser but instead she fired a single bullet," Chief Tim Gannon said during a press briefing the day after the young man's death, who started scuffles on Sunday evening.
Man killed during arrest
The Electric Pulse Pistol is a weapon believed to be less lethal than a firearm.
"It was accidental shooting that resulted in the tragic death of Mr. Wright," added the police chief.
To support his remarks, he presented the recording of the drama by the policewoman's camera-pedestrian.

Minneapolis: renewed tension after the death of a young African American killed by the police
Daunte Wright, who was driving with his girlfriend, was arrested because the validity of her license plates had expired, according to city mayor Mike Elliott.
Police then noticed that something was hanging from his rearview mirror, the mayor added, which is illegal in that state.
The police then realized that he was also the subject of an arrest warrant and attempted to arrest him.
