Two uncles and the father of a student had assaulted the victim, who was concerned about the child's absenteeism. They were found guilty

They kicked and punched him, earning him two days of ITT.

Three men from the same family were sentenced Tuesday to 15 months in prison for the assault in March of a teacher from Laon, worried about the absenteeism of a child of their family, let know the public prosecutor's office of Laon and the victim's lawyer.

The father of the child and two uncles were found guilty of violence in meetings on the teacher, and of violation of the school grounds, specifies Me Alexandre Martin.

The mother and grandmother, who also appeared, were sentenced to 105 hours of community service for their intrusion into the school.

"An answer commensurate with the gravity of the facts"

The facts took place on March 22 following an exchange between the mother of a kindergarten student and the teacher "who expressed her concern about the child's absenteeism", the mother fearing a "Measure relating to a placement", explained the prosecutor of Laon Guillaume Donnadieu. After this exchange in front of the Hélène-Boucher school, the mother came back accompanied by her relatives to ask that the child be returned to them, which the management had accepted but asking for a discharge. Against a background of "growing incomprehension", the family entered the school and attacked the teacher.

Me Martin hailed a decision "which is not symbolic" and constitutes "a response commensurate with the seriousness of the facts". No history of violence was reported by the school for this family. Denouncing an "unacceptable physical assault", the prefect of Aisne Ziad Khoury, had at the time of the facts called "for the greatest firmness in the face of such unacceptable behavior".
