In La Baule (Loire-Atlantique), a licensed nanny is being sued for physical violence against a 5-year-old child in her care.
But after new statements from the victim, the facts could be reclassified as rape of a minor, Europe 1 announced on Monday.
The information was confirmed in the evening at Le Parisien by the boy's family lawyer, Oudy Bloch.
The case began on July 4, 2020. In front of a merry-go-round in La Baule, the child is taken to task by his nanny. A shocked passer-by reports the facts to the authorities. “There were spankings, slaps, pinches, humiliations and screams,” explains Me Oudy Bloch. The police intervened and the nanny was taken into custody on July 6, said the lawyer. The investigation is moving towards a summons to the court for violence.
"Secondly", while the child understands "that he will no longer see his nurse", he makes new statements to his mother, says Me Bloch: "The boy evokes penetrations and therefore rapes.
The investigation is redirected for sexual assault, but the lawyer and the boy's family have asked the court to reclassify the facts as rape of a minor.
Justice must now rule on this request.
The nanny suspended from her other jobs
The child "is lucky to have a very attentive mother who immediately took him to be followed by a child psychologist", specifies Oudy Bloch.
“Today he is moving forward with a major trauma to digest.
"
The mayor of La Baule and the prefect of Loire-Atlantique intervened so that the accused woman be suspended from her other jobs, underlines Europe 1. The nanny worked in several schools and in an MJC (Maison des jeunes et de la culture ).
