Dreambot, the Italian podcast dedicated to the world of robotics, is back. The protagonist of the first episode of this second season is Bruno Siciliano, professor of Automatics at the University of Naples Federico II and coordinator of the PRISMA Lab.
"To date we still do not have a real consumer robotics, that is robots intended as easily accessible objects and available on the market, perhaps for reasons of lack of ease of use, ”said Siciliano, co-author of one of the most used robotics manuals in the world and former president of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society.
“Although smartphones or cars are rather complex tools - he continued - we do not need to take training courses or study user manuals. I believe that before we can see a real 'anthropisation' of robots it will be necessary to simplify many aspects, make them plug & play in some way ”.
The second season of Dreambot continues the story started months ago with Antonio Bicchi and which then also saw the participation of Cecilia Laschi, Simone Scardapane, Riccardo Oldani and Antonio Frisoli on some of the most interesting lines of research and on the increasingly frequent relationships between men and car.
“Dreambot - observe the authors of the podcast and founders of DiScienza - wants to tell robotics through the voice of its protagonists. Few people know in this sector Italy represents world-class excellence, we have dozens of research centers of the highest level and hundreds of researchers who work every day to transform the dream of robotics into reality ".
Every week on the Ansa Scienza e Tecnica channel an appointment with a new episode. Guests of the new season are Bruno Siciliano, Barbara Mazzolai, Gianfranco Visentin, Elena Parodi, Luisa Zecca and Vincenzo Lippiello.
