A photo of the scene is spreading rapidly online for several reasons.
On the one hand, there are users who are outraged that Joe Biden is not wearing a mask here.
And on the other hand, of course, there are Americans who share the picture, because very important representatives of their country pose together here.
A third group of social media users is also noticeably well represented: those people who have the impression that Joe and Jill Biden look like giants in the photo compared to the Carters.
People who the picture either amuses or disturbs.
The Guardian reporter Julia Carrie Wong, for example, tweeted about the two presidents who, according to older information, are only about five centimeters apart: "Help, I can't stop thinking about giant Biden and Baby Carter." Other users found the recording looked like Biden's visiting a doll's house.
"Adorable!" Wrote one user.
"But am I the only one who thinks this looks like a tiny doll museum and Joe and Jill are giants?"
A German-speaking user joked: "Achsoooo, Jimmy Carter is Nick Carter's little brother." And another stated: "Now I've looked at the photo for too long.

Some even edited the picture themselves
Speaking of Photoshop: the photo also inspired some users to post-process or reinterpret them.
Meanwhile, a user showed with a quick Photoshop edit how one can roughly imagine the original proportions.

During the evening, numerous people interested in photography explained on Twitter why the picture looks the way it looks. Reference is usually made to the presumably used wide-angle lens, which makes the edges of the image appear distorted, but also to the fact that the Bidens are not positioned directly to the side of the Carters, but closer to the camera.

"When you take photos in a smaller room, you often don't have enough space to move far enough back to see everyone in the picture," explains photo expert Carly Earl, which is why a wide-angle lens is used. The Carter Center, a non-profit organization of the Carters, published the "wonderful photo" on Twitter on Tuesday.
Since then it has been shared over 15,000 times and "Like" it almost 80,000 times.
The Carter Center account has not yet commented on the numerous user comments.
