Covid-19: will France keep its vaccination targets?


Despite delays in deliveries and the poor image of AstraZeneca's product, is the target of 30 million French people vaccinated in mid-June achievable?


Thursday, Emmanuel Macron announced that all over 50 could be vaccinated from May 10, and that from the 12 everyone could benefit, without age limit.

Non-priority audiences will thus be able to benefit from the slots left vacant.

There is probably behind these surprise announcements the desire to speed up the vaccination campaign to avoid any rebound in the epidemic by the summer.

But could that also hide a concern, that of not reaching the goal of 30 million French people vaccinated on June 15?

Between late deliveries and poor image of AstraZeneca's product, is there a risk that the campaign will stagnate in the weeks to come?
