The young man, who fell from the seventh floor, was in cardiac arrest when the firefighters arrived on the spot, specifies the daily Sud-Ouest.
The emergency services tried to revive him, in vain.
He was pronounced dead a few minutes later.
The first elements of the investigation showed that the victim was participating that evening in a party with other students at the time of his fall.
For the time being, investigators do not know if the evening started in this building or in another home, underlines France Bleu.
Four people, aged 18 to 20, were in custody Tuesday according to the Dax prosecutor's office to determine the circumstances of the fall.
Toxicological analyzes are in progress and additional witnesses must be interviewed.
