Streaming service DAZN: The prices will rise for the new season

New season, new conditions: The sports streaming service DAZN is turning the price screw this summer.
As DAZN boss Thomas de Buhr announced in an interview with “SportBild”, the service will in future cost 14.99 instead of 11.99 euros per month.
The annual subscription is also becoming more expensive, its price increasing from 119.99 to 149.99 euros.
De Buhr says that it is the »DNA of DAZN« to »always be able to offer every fan a fair deal«.
It is not yet known exactly when the price increase will take effect.
The previous prices are currently still displayed on the DAZN website.
DAZN will broadcast more Champions League games than before in the coming season, the rights are held by DAZN and Amazon.
With 121 games, the majority of the games will be shown on DAZN, and broadcasts in the form of live conferences are also planned.
Sky lost the Champions League
Amazon has only secured 16 games.
The pay TV broadcaster Sky and its streaming offshoot Sky Ticket will no longer show any premier class games after the summer break.
DAZN is meanwhile also with a view to the Bundesliga: Instead of the previous 40 games, the service will broadcast 106 games in the next season, which will take place on Fridays and Sundays.
DAZN shows the soccer games as well as the competitions of other sports via internet stream, for the reception of HD content the provider recommends an internet connection with at least nine megabits per second.
DAZN can be viewed with smart TVs, streaming sticks, computers, game consoles, smartphones and tablets (a detailed overview of the devices can be found here).
Each subscription can be connected to up to six devices, but only two streams are possible at the same time.
In the style of other streaming subscriptions such as Netflix or Disney +, DAZN's monthly subscription can be easily canceled online.
With the annual subscription, however, you pay directly for twelve months in advance.
DAZN last increased its prices in 2019: The monthly price rose from 9.99 euros to 11.99 euros at the time.
