Friday, in this quiet town of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, around 10:20 am, a man came to the premises of the municipal police because of a "vehicle problem".
Received by the municipal policewoman who was alone, he then threw himself on this person "and stabbed her several times, injuring her hand and legs", detailed the prosecutor in a press conference.

Katell L., a 47-year-old agent, was seriously injured in the thighs in particular.
Her life is not in danger, but she could not be heard by investigators due to her condition.
The young woman kidnapped by the aggressor in his flight is for her part in a state of shock.
"She is necessarily extremely traumatized, we will give her time to recover psychologically", according to General Ghislain Réty, GIGN commander on BFM.
Digital media in use
The investigation continues around the aggressor.
During the search carried out at his home, digital media were discovered and were "in the process of being used", explained the prosecutor.
Ndiaga Dieye, shot dead by retaliatory fire from gendarmes launched in pursuit of him, who also injured several gendarmes during his run, was known to the police.
He had been imprisoned on several occasions, notably for armed robberies, but never for acts of a terrorist nature.
"This French individual born in France, (...) is known to the police, was released from prison and in 2016 he was reported for a rigorous practice of Islam for radicalization and thus registered in the FSPRT file" reports for the prevention of terrorist radicalization), confirmed the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin.
The man, who had served an eight-year prison sentence for aggravated theft and forcible confinement, was diagnosed as schizophrenic.
An investigation has been opened for attempted murder of the policewoman and soldiers and for forcible confinement.
