The 29-year-old former soldier was taken into police custody on Wednesday as part of the two investigations opened, one for violence on his ex-girlfriend and attempted assassination on her companion, the other for attempted assassinations of persons holding public authority.
On May 30, the young man, heavily armed, had fled in a wooded and difficult to access area of Lardin-Saint-Lazare after assaulting his former companion at home and shooting her friend, without reach it.
Already convicted four times for violence against his ex-spouse, he had been provided in early May with an electronic bracelet intended to prevent him from accessing the perimeter of the residence of his ex-partner.
He was seriously injured during his arrest 36 hours later, hit in the throat by a retaliatory shot from the GIGN gendarmes on whom he had fired several times.
The operations to find this man had mobilized more than 300 gendarmes and members of the GIGN supported by helicopters and armored vehicles.
