It is around 5 a.m. on Monday morning when a 42-year-old man is spotted making suspicious round trips near the Lille police station (North), according to a police source, confirming RTL information.
The suspect was immediately arrested and taken into police custody.
In his vehicle, gasoline, two jerry cans, four gas canisters and also a knife were found.
The man is known to the police for common law offenses and territorial intelligence for psychiatric disorders.
During his arrest, he told the police that he was on file by the DGSI, which turned out to be false.
He is described as being regularly out of drug treatment.
The judicial police have not taken up the investigation at this stage, it is the Lille police station which is in charge of the investigations.
