Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar: her husband Cédric placed in police custody

2021-06-19T10:31:09.485Z

EXCLUSIVE. Six months after the mysterious disappearance of the young nurse in the Tarn, the investigation is experiencing a twist: her companion

The investigation seemed to have stagnated for months like a lifeless body stuck in a bend in the Tarn. No police custody, no material evidence or decisive testimony it was believed and especially no trace of Delphine Jubillar, 33, disappeared during that night from December 15 to 16, 2020 in Cagnac-les-Mines. The case of the nurse of Albi was going to join the long list of criminal enigmas, already prophesied the most pessimistic ... And then, six months later to the day, the twist that Le Parisien-Today in France reveals exclusively. Cédric Jubillar, Delphine's husband, was arrested on Wednesday at his workplace in the Albi sector (Tarn). The 33-year-old man was taken into custody by gendarmes from the Toulouse research section,on rogatory commission of the two investigating judges in charge of the investigations opened for "kidnapping and sequestration".

In fact, six months ago magistrates and investigators discreetly monitored this mysterious companion who had recently obtained the status of "civil party" - and therefore victim -.

A strategy of justice to put him in confidence and push him to relax his vigilance.

Contrary to the hazardous rumors on social networks which designated him as a suspect, mainly by analogy with the Daval affair, the gendarmes believe they have accumulated enough clues to establish his responsibility in the disappearance of his wife.

A possible dispute at the heart of the investigation

According to our information, several inconsistencies have appeared between, on the one hand, the story of the night of the disappearance developed by Cédric Jubillar and, on the other, certain technical findings and testimonies collected by the investigators. According to this painter's version, that evening, he went to bed around 10 p.m. and left Delphine and her 6-year-old son to watch television. He was then reportedly woken up at 4 a.m. by the crying of his other child, an 18-month-old girl. It was at this moment that he would have noticed the absence of his companion as well as of his jacket. He even specifies that the couple's two dogs are outside the house and are approaching him, as if they had just been walked. What to suspect an abduction or a murder committed by an outside person ...

Delphine and Cedric Jubillar on their wedding day in 2013. The young 33-year-old nurse from Albi disappeared overnight from Tuesday 15 to Wednesday 16 December 2020 from her home in Cagnac-les-Mines in the Tarn region.

However, telephone analyzes suggest that Cédric Jubillar remained awake at least a good part of the night.

In the same way, a material element would prove that Delphine had put on a night dress and was about to go to bed.

It is difficult in these conditions to imagine her then voluntarily leaving her home.

Above all, since the latest advances in the investigation, the gendarmes have become convinced that an argument broke out between Cédric and Delphine on the night of the tragedy after a heated discussion about the future of their couple.

It appears that the young nurse was preparing to leave her companion and the family home very soon, and could have told him that evening.

Cédric Jubillar tries to guide the investigations

According to the criminal scenario envisaged by justice, this official rupture could have awakened a deep narcissistic wound in Cédric Jubillar. He would then have realized that he was about to lose everything: his wife, part of the custody of the children but also his house built in part by his hands in Cagnac-les-Mines. A prospect all the more difficult to accept as Delphine Jubillar largely provided for the needs of the family with her salary as a nurse. This rupture project had already been mentioned within the couple in the weeks preceding the disappearance of Delphine but it was still quite virtual. This fateful evening of December 15 would have marked its realization.Reading these events cannot be done without diving into the complex psychology and chaotic life course of Cédric Jubillar. A personality investigation, carried out over the past few months, has enabled the gendarmes to reconstruct this intimate itinerary.

In addition, the investigators were intrigued by the behavior of the companion of Delphine Jubillar in recent weeks. Was he convinced of having been exonerated since his hearing as a civil party before the investigating judge on April 30? Cédric Jubillar, who has since entered into a relationship with a new companion, would in any case have tried to insist on the suspicions of the gendarmes towards another man. This is a father living around Cagnac-les-Mines heard as a witness during the investigation. Cédric Jubillar would have tried to portray him as a courtier of his companion with aggressive flirting methods. However, he strongly contested such an attitude. In addition, the gendarmes were able to totally exclude the hypothesis of his involvement in the disappearance. They also ruled out all other leads. Like the one that led to "Montauban's lover", presented as a confidant of Delphine met on the Internet. The alibis of each of these men have been carefully checked. All that remains is Cédric Jubillar's trail, reinforced by the existence of a potential motive: a murder possibly committed out of fear of being left, or even dishonored.

Nevertheless, many questions remain open. If Cédric Jubillar is indeed the murderer, how could he have killed his partner that evening without waking their two children present? How could he have disposed of the body without leaving any trace in a relatively short period of time, all without being spotted when the pavilion is located in a subdivision where the houses are close to each other? The custody of the young artisan plasterer will be decisive. It can last 48 hours before a possible deferral and an indictment. The body of Delphine Jubillar remains to this day untraceable despite the numerous excavations carried out around the mines and streams of the Tarn as well as the scientific expertise carried out at the couple's pavilion.
